Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Subly account. However, there may be instances where you want to remove this feature. This guide will walk you through the steps to disable 2FA on your Subly account.

How to remove 2FA

Step 1: Navigate to Account Settings

  1. Go to Account Settings: Click on "Account" from the user menu located at the top-right corner of the Subly interface.

  2. Authentication Tab: Once in the Account Settings, navigate to the "Authentication" tab.

Step 2: Remove Authenticator App

  1. Locate Authenticator App: If you have 2FA enabled via an authenticator app, it should be listed here.

  2. Click Remove: Click the "remove" option next to the authenticator app listing.

  3. Enter Code: A prompt will appear asking for a code. Enter the code generated from your authenticator app.

  4. Done: Once the code is verified, 2FA will be disabled, and you won't be required to use 2FA when logging into your Subly account.

What to do if I've lost access to the authenticator app

If you no longer have access to your authenticator app, you can still remove 2FA from your account by contacting Subly support.

  1. Click on the help icon located on the sidebar of the Subly interface.

  2. Contact Options: You'll have two options to get in touch with Subly support: "Chat with us" or "Get in touch."

    • Chat with Us: For a quicker resolution, it's recommended to start a chat with the support team.

    • Get in Touch: Alternatively, you can choose to send a message to the support team.

If you've lost access to your account entirely, you can also directly email Subly support at support@subly.app.
